This course will provide learners with an introduction to Functional Somatic Disorders.
Functional Somatic Disorders are symptoms and disorders that do not arise from well-defined structural pathology or disease.
They are commonly known as medically unexplained symptoms, functional symptoms/disorders, functional somatic syndromes (which include conditions such as fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome and irritable bowel syndrome), psychosomatic or somatoform disorder amongst other names.
